Fun with Friends

Who can resist this cute little booty? And this cute walkin' baby?

both up to no good?

Loves Momma's iPhone

This weekend, we had fun hosting friends to stay with us and have our home be the gathering place for Andy's best college guy friends to re-unite. I'm sad I didn't think to take pictures the rest of the weekend, but here's what we have from today.

Spring

I love evidence of Spring, blooming all in our backyard!

Psalm 19

1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth.

7 The law of the LORD is perfect,
refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy,
making wise the simple.
8 The precepts of the LORD are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the LORD are radiant,
giving light to the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD is pure,
enduring forever.
The decrees of the LORD are firm,
and all of them are righteous.

10 They are more precious than gold,
than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey,
than honey from the honeycomb.
11 By them your servant is warned;
in keeping them there is great reward.
12 But who can discern their own errors?
Forgive my hidden faults.
13 Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.

14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Walkin' Baby

I hate to use this description, but I feel like Jackson looks like a drunk sailor when he walks. Too cute and keeps me laughing.

2nd Annual Play Date

Jackson and I just got back from a fun trip to Jacksonville, AL, to have our 2nd Annual Play Date at the Monroe's house. You may remember our trip last year on this post.

5 Moms, 8 Kids, from ages 2 months to 4 years old. You can imagine the fun (and controlled chaos) that ensued.

Group Shot! (Jackson, 13 months, Cooper, 1 year old, Bella Grace, 2 years old, Rinnah, 2 months old, Abby Jane, 4 years old, Blythe and Joy, 2 years old, Tucker, 1 year old)
Note, Jackson is enjoying his new-found freedom of walking, standing, etc, as evidenced by this picture.

Blythe, so sweetly playing

DIY

Have I mentioned a few fun DIY projects I've been doing lately?

Here they are:

1) Making Burp Cloths

2) Growing Green Onions in your Windowsill

3) Making your own hardware for drapes
I ordered these beauties for the white room, and the love of my life made a grand visit to Home Depot to assemble these. We plan to hang them this week, all in preparation for house guests staying with us for Lucy and Mark's wedding! (I'll post pics to show you how they turn out. My sister-in-law did this in her boy's room and it looked awesome. Hence, my inspiration.)

Send more crafting ideas my way! I still need to learn how to make a jon jon. I have all the materials, supplies, and patterns. Now I just need to drive and determination to do it.
